Overview:
Broadreach internship program is designed for individuals aspiring to be marine biologist, environmental scientist or conservationist. Internship will work with our team on various projects including research, community outreach and environmental education. This internship provide a great opportunity for students to understand more about marine conservation and contribute towards worthwhile initiatives that look after our oceans.
Responsibilities:
- Helping in ongoing research projects performed such as data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Participating in community outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of marine conservation issues.
- Assisting in creation of educational materials and presentations for environment education initiatives.
- Taking part in organizing conservation events/activities.
- Working closely with team members to plan new strategies geared towards the conservation of environments.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or have recently graduated from an undergraduate degree program (Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Conservation), etc.
- Strong passion for anything marine related and environmental problems facing it.
- Good communication skills both written and oral.
- Being an independent worker as well as being able to work efficiently as part of a group.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Possessing previous experience gained during course of fieldwork or carrying out research would be advantageous.
